Concluding workshop of the USDA-funded research project entitled “Molecular epidemiology of Mycobacterium bovis infection in animals and man in Bangladesh” on June 27, 2021. The research project has been conducted over the last three years in the Department of Medicine, BAU. Much appreciation to the project director (PD) Prof Dr. Md. Mahbub Alam, Co-PD Prof Dr. M Ariful Islam, PhD fellow Dr. Nazim (DVM) and Dr. Kamruzzan (MBBS), and the team for successful completion of the research work on such zoonotic disease. This research work revealed the risk factors and transmission dynamics of tuberculosis between man and animal, and it is a nice example of one health approach for controlling zoonotic diseases like tuberculosis.
