JAVAR Achieves Continued Global Recognition
The Journal of Advanced Veterinary and Animal Research (JAVAR),
published by the Network for the Veterinarians of Bangladesh, has maintained an
impressive Impact Factor of 1.5 for both 2023 and 2024, as indexed by the Web
of Science (WoS). Among more than 300 scientific journals published in
Bangladesh, only six are WoS-indexed, and JAVAR holds the highest impact factor
among them. As a journal based at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), the
institution takes pride in its significant contributions to the nation’s
research landscape. JAVAR is also the only Bangladeshi journal to earn a Q2
(Quartile 2) ranking in Scopus—a distinction it has held for two consecutive
years. In Scopus’s global “Veterinary (General)” category, it currently ranks
58th out of 200 journals. The journal is additionally indexed in PubMed and
PubMed Central, further underscoring its growing international impact.
Editor-in-Chief Professor Nazmul Hussain Nazir, Department of Microbiology and
Hygiene, BAU, remarked, “Our aim is to make JAVAR a prestigious global platform
for Bangladeshi research. We are committed to supporting high-quality
publications and helping local researchers strengthen their global presence.”
