Research Topic: Determination of factors responsible for yield Gaps in rice and  wheat at farmer's field. The project is funded by the World Bank through the KGF, BARC Complex, Dhaka, Bangladesh during 2010-2011.

       Research Topic: Transfer of Selected Agricultural Technologies to Farmers through Training and Demonstrations.  The project was funded by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dhaka.

Research Topic: Factors affecting the adoption of aquaculture technologies by the farmers. The project was funded by the WorldFish Center, Dhaka.

Research Topic: Communication Behaviour and Job Performances of Male and Female Block Supervisors Working under the DAE. The project is funded by the IDA – World Bank through the BARC, Dhaka, Bangladesh during 2000 to 2001.

 

6.  Team Member (2000 – 2002)

Project Title: Upgrading the Curriculum and Research on the Impact of Extension Reforms at the Department of Agricultural Extension Education, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. The project was administered jointly by the Department of Agricultural Extension Education, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh and International and Rural Development Department (IRRD), University of Reading, UK funded by the British Council through Higher Education Link (HEL) programme.

 

7. Research Fellow (1998):

Research Topic: Towards Sustainable agricultural Development: Use of Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) by the Farmers of Selected Areas of Bangladesh and Japan for the Production, Protection, and Preservation of Crops, Animals, and Fishes. The project was funded by the JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) during 1997-98.

 

 

8. Country Coordinator, Bangladesh Site (1996):

Research Topic: Implications of Environmental and Sustainability Issues for the Organization and Practice of Agricultural Extension. The other collaborative partners of the project were: (i) The University of Reading, UK, (ii) Visayes State College of Agriculture (VisCA), The Philippines, (iii) University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, India, and (iv) The Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India. The project was funded by the Overseas Development Administration (ODA, presently DFID) of the UK during 1994-96.

Research Topic: Block Supervisor’s Credibility as Communicators of Technical Advice. The project was funded by the IDA – World Bank through the BARC, Dhaka, Bangladesh during 1992-93.

Research Topic: Adoption and Communication Behaviour of Sugarcane Growers around Zil-Bangla Sugarmill Area in Bangladesh. The project was funded by the AAIDA, Australia during 1991-92.

Research Topic: Obstacles to the Adoption of Modern Rice Cultivation Practices by Small Farmers of Bangladesh. The research was conducted during 1983 – 86 funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission of the United Kingdom.
